Born and reared in Memphis, TN, Crown Vega spent his early childhood with his grandmother in South Memphis not far from downtown and world famous “Beale Street” where she would take him to hear live music from local musicians. As a teen he relocated to North Memphis, in a community named “Smoky City,” where he lived until becoming a young adult. Gifted with creativity, talent and having a passion for music, once Vega heard hometown legends such as 8 Ball & MJG, Three 6 Mafia, and Skinny Pimp to name a few, a flame was sparked that continued to grow. At a young age Crown Vega started rapping, free styling and writing his own lyrics alongside his peers in middle school. This became his base of expression and distraction from the surrounding troubles of his neighborhood. In addition to his work in perfecting his writing ability, with instruction from his brother and mastering engineer “Mottini,” Vega became a studio engineer and music producer. Jaye Cane (born July 9) is an American rapper and songwriter. Raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Jaye embarked on his musical career as a teenager under the stage name six-9, releasing a mixtape that garnered local attention and led to his signing with indie record label MANN UP RECORDS. He began to gain recognition in 2005, after his first media release, “Homeless” The following year, he independently released his first studio album, Poverty City, which included his debut single, “Miltown 101”.
